Private Driver Prices in Morocco 2026
One of the most common questions from travelers planning a Morocco trip is: how much does a private driver actually cost? The honest answer is: it depends on the route, the vehicle type and what is included — but with a fixed-price model, there are no unpleasant surprises.
How Private Driver Pricing Works
In Morocco, private driver prices are typically quoted per vehicle for a specific route or day — not per person, and not by meter. This means a group of three people traveling together pays the same as one person, making it genuinely cost-effective for couples and small groups.
Price by Vehicle Type
Comfort Sedan (1–3 passengers): from €30 (330 MAD) for local airport transfers, and €100–€160 per day for touring. Ideal for couples and solo travelers with standard luggage.
Luxury SUV / 4WD (1–4 passengers, e.g. Toyota Prado): from €45–€55 for airport pickups, and €155–€195 per day for High Atlas mountain passes and Sahara Desert expeditions.
Comfort Touring Van (4–7 passengers, e.g. Mercedes Vito): from €40 (440 MAD) for airport transfers, and €170–€200 per day for families and group excursions.
Executive Minibus (8–14 passengers, e.g. Mercedes Sprinter): from €60 (660 MAD) for airport runs, and €240–€280 per day for larger private delegations.
Example Route Prices (Comfort Sedan, One Way)
Marrakech Airport to Medina: €30 (330 MAD). Marrakech to Essaouira (180 km): €90 (980 MAD). Marrakech to Agadir (240 km): €135 (1,480 MAD). Casablanca Airport to Marrakech (220 km): €150 (1,650 MAD). Marrakech to Fes (540 km): €240 (2,640 MAD). Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara (560 km): €360 (3,960 MAD).
What Is Included?
All our prices include the dedicated licensed driver, vehicle, fuel, all highway tolls, parking permits and air conditioning. For airport arrivals, 45 minutes of free flight-delay waiting time and meet-and-greet in the arrivals hall are included. There are zero surprise fees or fuel surcharges at the end of your trip.
How to Pay
Transfers and single-day trips under €300 require 0% deposit — pay cash directly in EUR or MAD to your driver upon arrival. For multi-day circuits exceeding €300, a transparent 30% confirmation deposit secures your vehicle with the remaining 70% paid in Morocco.
Is a Private Driver Worth It?
For routes where public transport exists (like Marrakech to Essaouira by bus), a private driver costs more per person when traveling solo. But for groups of two or more, or on routes with limited public connections, a private driver is often the most practical, comfortable and cost-efficient option available.
